    On April 21, Villanova University’s Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) hosted its 13th annual Pitch Day. Held each April, Pitch Day gives students from across the University’s six schools and colleges the opportunity to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

    The Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, Villanova University President, announced that Philadelphia Archbishop the Most Revered Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., will address the Class of 2024 as the University’s commencement speaker. Archbishop Pérez will also receive the degree of Doctor of Sacred Letters, honoris causa.

  • Vincent Lloyd, PhD, Named 2024 Guggenheim Fellowship Recipient

    Vincent Lloyd, PhD, a professor of Theology and Religious Studies and Director of the Center for Political Theology at Villanova University, has been named a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow. Chosen through a rigorous application and peer review process from a pool of almost 3,000 applicants, Dr. Lloyd is one of 188 fellows selected for this prestigious fellowship based on “career achievement and exceptional promise.”

  • Four New Villanova Student Produced Social Justice Documentaries to Premiere in April and May

    Villanova University’s Social Justice Documentary filmmaking course is known for producing documentaries that shed light on important narratives; many of the films receive local and national recognition. In spring 2024, two student production companies will premiere a total of four new documentaries featuring powerful stories of cultural preservation, community, education and empowerment.
